Born in Korea and raised in the US and Hong Kong, I am a lecturer and private educator dedicated to connecting people with the world of art, design, and culture through diverse educational experiences. With a background in promoting contemporary art within the Hong Kong art market and teaching Design History at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, I have steadily built my professional and academic career in Hong Kong. I am currently planning to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) while training at an international secondary school. I hold an M.A. in Art History and a B.A. in Product Design. In my spare time, I enjoy training my intelligent Border Collie and participating in fun activities such as dog sports dance. I also volunteer for the Dr. Dog program organized by Animals Asia.

I also conduct hands-on workshops, where I share my expertise in ceramic design, helping participants create their own pieces while learning about the medium's rich history and techniques. I’ve also instructed Elite CCA classes at Fairfield Methodist Primary School and other institutions, where I guided students in creating ceramic pieces for competitions and develop their creative thinking skills, teaching them the value of patience, precision, and the creative process. My approach to art education goes beyond technique; I strive to cultivate a sense of confidence and creativity in every student, helping them discover and develop their unique artistic voices. Whether in a classroom setting or a one-on-one lesson, I ensure that each student receives personalized attention, making learning both fun and fulfilling.

Hello! I have taught Art and Photography for many years and have a strong appreciation for students' creative needs. Whether it is to grow their confidence in handling a particular medium, developing ideas, experimenting with materials, or wanting to develop skills in a specific area, I am able to draw the best out of my students in order to ensure they fulfill their creative potential. I teach fine art skills such as drawing, painting with oil and acrylics, printing, and various mixed media approaches. Additionally, I teach both film and digital photography, editing, and post-production using Adobe software such as Photoshop and Lightroom. Based in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok, I can travel to support students at their homes. With a bachelor's degree in Fashion and a master's degree in Curating Contemporary Art, I have experience and knowledge in art management, exhibition curation, design, and fine art. As a graduate of the Royal College of Art, I have experience in preparing art portfolios, which can help students who want to coordinate their own portfolios. My teaching methods focus on creativity, presentation, and the use of various materials such as pencils, watercolors, acrylics, and markers. This will help participants develop their experimental and artistic practices. The course is suitable for both children and adults, beginners and advanced learners who are passionate about art.

I am currently a second-year Fine Arts student at Chelsea College of Arts, UAL. I was an IB student at Hwa Chong, where I did not take any art subjects, but I had been studying fine arts in my own time and received offers from both Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College of Arts. I stand out through my non-art backgrounds, where I did not receive strong influence from the more technically centered practice in A-level equivalent art subjects, but rather have a strong understanding of conceptual practice in the arts, which is much more prioritized in university-level portfolio applications. I have conducted extensive research on what is required in portfolios and what universities look for in applications. I do not provide advice on technical aspects in your practice, only on the conceptual and methodological approaches in your artworks. I am very friendly and easygoing, as I am still a student :) But, of course, we will focus where it is needed.
