I am an artist, musician, teacher, philosopher, writer, farmer, and mechanic. I teach the arts as one of the last remaining Renaissance men. I have studied Fine Art from prolific artists in New York, as well as worked as an artist in varying capacities. As a teacher, I aim to help students achieve their goals and develop their skills. I strive to uncover and nurture the hidden talents within each student. I am not interested in teaching another photo-realist; I am searching for genuine human art in the digital age. The unique touch of the human hand is a gift to be cultivated and expressed. I can teach drawing, life drawing, and figure drawing using various media. I am proficient in color theory and painting, including watercolor. I am also skilled in printmaking and sculpting. My expertise spans across many mediums, making me a highly trained Studio Artist. Located in the hip area of Ari, Bangkok, I am available to teach at my studio or travel to your location.

As an experienced and skilled artist and designer, I offer various lessons in a broad range of arts and design, from painting to fashion, graphics, and printmaking. As a young, energetic teacher, I aim for students to feel a sense of comfort and motivation during every lesson. I am a Canadian-born Cantonese student from Hong Kong. I graduated in 2018 with a double-major BFA in ITGM (Interactive and Game Development) and Animation at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) Atlanta Campus. Since my graduation, I have been working in Hong Kong to be closer to my family. Over the past 3 years, I have gained project experience by working on games, animations, as well as advertisements. Furthermore, I am proud to have received 2 awards for my previous animation projects. In terms of teaching, I have worked as a teaching assistant in college. Additionally, I have been teaching since January 2019 in both learning centers and school settings. I have experience teaching privately and in groups. The classes I offer are as follows: 1) Traditional art: still life drawing, sculpting, painting, cartoons, flipbook animation. 2) Digital art: illustrations, animations, games, and more.

I love encouraging creativity and appreciation for art. Teaching is rewarding, especially seeing the growth of my students' skills & imaginations, and after giving private and small group art lessons for over 18 years, I enjoy it even more than when I first began! After receiving my BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers) in 1988, I went on to work in art galleries & doing marketing & fundraising, then finally started my own art business full time about 23 years ago. I have 30+ years of experience in drawing, painting, illustration, digital art, photography and other media. I take the time to personalise my art lessons to meet the creativity, skill level and artistic needs of each student so they can get the most out of the lessons & I work at a pace each student feels comfortable with. My artwork has been exhibited in galleries and other venues for over 35 years and I've sold to private collectors, businesses and more so I have the passion and skills to help others grow their creativity. I listen, I care, I give respectful critiques as well as encouragement and I make the lessons fun. Each lesson is custom crafted to meet the skill level & creative interests of each student. All my current students have been learning with me for months to years, and all give me 5 star reviews, & I've taught people from ages 7 to 80+ years old. Hello! I have taught Art and Photography for many years and have a strong appreciation for students' creative needs. Whether it is to grow their confidence in handling a particular medium, developing ideas, experimenting with materials, or wanting to develop skills in a specific area, I am able to draw the best out of my students in order to ensure they fulfill their creative potential. I teach fine art skills such as drawing, painting with oil and acrylics, printing, and various mixed media approaches. Additionally, I teach both film and digital photography, editing, and post-production using Adobe software such as Photoshop and Lightroom. Based in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok, I can travel to support students at their homes. With a bachelor's degree in Fashion and a master's degree in Curating Contemporary Art, I have experience and knowledge in art management, exhibition curation, design, and fine art. As a graduate of the Royal College of Art, I have experience in preparing art portfolios, which can help students who want to coordinate their own portfolios. My teaching methods focus on creativity, presentation, and the use of various materials such as pencils, watercolors, acrylics, and markers. This will help participants develop their experimental and artistic practices. The course is suitable for both children and adults, beginners and advanced learners who are passionate about art.

I am currently a second-year Fine Arts student at Chelsea College of Arts, UAL. I was an IB student at Hwa Chong, where I did not take any art subjects, but I had been studying fine arts in my own time and received offers from both Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College of Arts. I stand out through my non-art backgrounds, where I did not receive strong influence from the more technically centered practice in A-level equivalent art subjects, but rather have a strong understanding of conceptual practice in the arts, which is much more prioritized in university-level portfolio applications. I have conducted extensive research on what is required in portfolios and what universities look for in applications. I do not provide advice on technical aspects in your practice, only on the conceptual and methodological approaches in your artworks. I am very friendly and easygoing, as I am still a student :) But, of course, we will focus where it is needed.
